May – A Letter to Myself
“To send a letter is a good way to go somewhere, without moving anything but your heart.” ― Phyllis Grissim-Theroux
Sending my May newsletter kind of got away from me, which is now a perfect time to share the letter I wrote to myself. It is a good reminder that it is ok things aren’t perfect.
While I was at the Well of Mercy for a business retreat one of the exercises I did was to write a letter to myself. I want to share what I wrote with you. I hope you give yourself grace and gratitude no matter what stage you may be at. I encourage you to write a letter to yourself too.
Dear Allisa
You are enough. It’s ok that you may have ran late this morning. Just a reminder your kids will be ok without the special cut out cheese shapes in their lunches. I know you did your best at work and gave your all, so no need to bring work home with you. Be present tonight with your family. Play a game and laugh. Focus on the good parts of the day and support each other in areas that may have been challenging.
Have you prayed today? What are you grateful for? See all the good.
Love, Me
Have a beautiful day!
Allisa
